• Montessori Primary certification

• A Tennessee Teaching License with an Early Childhood-K endorsement

• Designing and implementing Montessori lessons

• Maintaining student records

• Engaging in parent education and communication

Montessori School of Franklin is seeking a full-time Primary Assistant to support our Primary Lead Teacher in guiding a classroom of children ages 2.5 to 6 years old. We are looking for a caring and dedicated individual who upholds the core principles of Maria Montessori—fostering kindness, trust, courtesy, independence, and a commitment to personal and community growth.

Ideal candidates will have:

• A high school diploma or higher

• Experience working with children (Montessori experience preferred)

• A passion for the Montessori philosophy and a desire to support a peaceful, engaging learning environment

 

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with the Primary Lead as a balanced and effective team

• Assisting in maintaining a calm, structured, and patient classroom environment

• Supporting daily activities and fostering independence in young learners
