Our admissions process is designed to provide information about Montessori education and familiarize prospective families with MSF's personal mission and the ways in which we go about fulfilling that mission in partnership with each family. Ultimately, the compatibility of families with our philosophy is important to the success of your child and our school community.  We want parents to be informed and confident in their choice of schools.

Montessori School of Franklin accepts applications from students who are at least 30 months old when school begins through age twelve. Whenever possible, parents should schedule a school visit before applying. This will include a school tour, an opportunity for classroom observation and a meeting with a staff member to answer any questions you may have.  Prospective elementary students will be asked to meet with the elementary co-teachers. Meetings with primary (three- to six-year-old) students are not required. An appointment can be made by calling the school at 615-794-0567.

Our mission at MSF is to be a place that celebrates and nurtures the unfolding of each child's potential. Children are able to develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes to become responsible citizens capable of making the world a better place. We firmly believe that children benefit most when the family and school work together. Families of enrolled children must be willing to make an extraordinary commitment to their child's education. Through our combined efforts, we will achieve successes that would be impossible alone. In addition, experiencing the three-year developmental cycle at a minimum is crucial in order for a child to receive the maximum benefits from the program. Therefore, our priority is to enroll children whose families understand and are committed to our programs and philosophy for an entire three-year period.

When you make the decision to apply, an application should be completed and submitted with the $60.00 nonrefundable fee. Applications are accepted year round, and acceptance letters for the upcoming school year are issued beginning in late February. Tuition contracts and deposits are due in March for the following year. A $500 registration fee reserves your child's place in the school.  None of the registration fee is refundable.
